The Mutt Hut
The Mutt Hut is a single shepherd's hut on the grounds of Samlesbury Hall. It's one of several, so you'll have neighbours in the other huts, but you've got your own space outside.
It sleeps four, but that's in two double beds in the one room. It's open plan, so it's one space with the beds and a small seating area. There's an ensuite bathroom. It's well made and comfortable, with proper beds and a memory foam mattress. There's no kitchen, but there is a fridge. You're right next to the Hall's restaurant for meals.
Being on the estate means you can walk straight into the grounds. The Hall itself is interesting, it's very old. They run events, tours, and sometimes have theatre shows. There's also a driving range with crazy golf, an adventure trail, and a bee centre. The gardens are nice to walk around.
You're allowed one dog. There's parking right there.
For a longer walk, the River Darwen is nearby. If you want to go further, Manchester and Liverpool are both about a 30 minute drive. The Ribble Valley is close by for more countryside.
