This is Riding Cottage in Pateley Bridge. It's a stone-built cottage in a little courtyard, just off the High Street. You hear about it, but it's quiet back there.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have double beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
The living area is open plan, so the kitchen and sitting room are all one space. There are beams and stone. It's a proper cottage. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so a bit steep.
You're about a minute's walk from the High Street. There are a few pubs and places to eat there. The River Nidd runs right through the town, so you can start a walk from your doorstep.
You're in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The countryside around here is all hills and dry stone walls. Plenty of walking and cycling.
If you want a day out, Fountains Abbey is about half an hour's drive. Brimham Rocks is closer, maybe 15 minutes. Harrogate is about 30 minutes away. Ripon is 20 minutes or so.
Facilities: WiFi, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car.
