The Old Clockmakers

The Old Clockmakers is a one bedroom flat above a shop on the High Street in Pateley Bridge. It’s for two people. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after.

You’re right in the middle of the town. The Nidderdale Museum is a two minute walk. There are a few pubs and places to eat within fifty yards. You won’t need to drive for a pint.

The flat looks out over the street. It can be busy during the day. At night it’s quiet. The windows are double glazed.

Everything you need for a week is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included.

For walking, you can pick up the Nidderdale Way from the door. A flatter walk is along the river to the pub at Glasshouses. By car, Brimham Rocks is about ten minutes away. It’s run by the National Trust. The reservoirs up the valley, like Scar House, are good for a drive and a walk. They’re about twenty five minutes.

Harrogate is a twenty minute drive for proper shopping or a bet at the betting shop. Ripon is closer, about fifteen minutes. The cathedral is worth seeing and Fountains Abbey is just outside it. Knaresborough is under half an hour for the castle and the river. York is about an hour by car if you fancy a day trip.

Practical things: There’s no private parking. You can park on the street with a permit we provide. No pets, sorry. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Useful links if you’re planning trips: the North York Moors National Park is just to the east, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park is to the west.
