Crossgates
Crossgates is on the edge of Almscliffe Crag, near Smelthouses. It's a bungalow, converted from farm buildings. You've got a neighbour, Fellbeck, attached but you won't notice them. The garden is your own, with the moor right there.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. The Four Star rating means it's warm and comfortable. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about.
The kitchen is fine. There's a washing machine, a TV, and everything is included. Parking is right outside.
There's a pub about a ten minute walk down the lane. It's a proper local. The nearest shop is in Pateley Bridge, about three miles away.
You're up on the moor edge here. The view is just fields and sky. For a walk, you can step straight out onto Almscliffe Crag. Brimham Rocks is a ten minute drive. It's a good spot for a scramble or just to look at the shapes. The National Trust Nidderdale page has maps.
Pateley Bridge is down in the valley. It's got cafes and a few shops. Ripon is about twenty minutes by car, and Harrogate is maybe half an hour. Fountains Abbey is just past Ripon.
The bedding and towels are here for you. No pets, sorry.
