Fellbeck
Fellbeck is a bungalow near Smelthouses, up above Pateley Bridge. It's one of a pair, us and Crossgates, converted from old farm buildings. The views are out over the fields towards the moors.
It sleeps three in two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and warm, but it’s not a show home. Everything works and it’s clean.
You can bring two dogs. There’s a garden area outside the front door, just for Fellbeck, and parking right there.
The pub is about half a mile down the lane. It's a proper walkers' pub. The nearest shop is in Pateley Bridge, three miles down the hill. That’s where you’ll get your basics.
If you’re here to walk, you can just go straight out from the door onto the moor. For a famous spot, Brimham Rocks is about a 20 minute drive. It’s a National Trust site, all those strange rock formations. Good for a climb or just a wander.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal are about half an hour away by car. Harrogate and Ripon are within that sort of distance too, if you want a bit of town life or a look at the cathedral.
Inside, it’s got a washing machine, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. The heating is electric and that’s in the price.
