Wickwoods
Wickwoods is a cottage on Silver Hill, about two miles from Pateley Bridge. It's on our working farm, so you'll see sheep and cows. You get here by a farm track, which is fine for normal cars. It's stone built and sits quite high up, so the views across the Nidd Valley are really good. You can sit out on the patio and just look at it.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but it's a proper farm cottage, not a show home. The floors are a bit uneven in places, that's just the character of it. It has a wood burner for the evenings.
You're right in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Nidderdale Way path goes past nearby if you like walking. The local pub is about half a mile down the lane, and Pateley Bridge is two miles away for shops and cafes.
If you want to go out for the day, Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks are about half an hour's drive. Harrogate is maybe 25 minutes. Yorkshire Dales National Park is on the doorstep, and you can be in York in under an hour.
For facilities, it has pretty much what you'd need: WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, we don't take pets.
