Wickwoods
Wickwoods is on our farm, at Silver Hill near Pateley Bridge. It's a stone cottage on a working farm. You get here up a track, it's fine for cars. The views look out over the Nidd Valley.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a three star rating, which is about right. It’s comfortable, not luxurious. The farm is active, so you’ll see cattle and sheep around.
There’s a wood burner in the living room. We leave wood for it. There’s a patio with a table and a BBQ. The garden is yours to use, it’s not huge but it’s got those views.
Inside there’s a TV, WiFi, a washing machine and a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair in if you need them. There’s parking right outside.
The local pub is about half a mile down the lane, they do food. Pateley Bridge is two miles away for shops, cafes and a few other pubs.
You’re right in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Nidderdale Way footpath goes past nearby. Brimham Rocks is about a 15 minute drive, it’s great for kids to climb on. Harrogate is maybe 25 minutes by car, for the Turkish Baths and bigger shops.
Fountains Abbey is around 30 minutes drive. The Yorkshire Dales National Park starts not much further on. York is about an hour away.
