The Mill Townhouse
The Mill Townhouse is in Glasshouses, right by the River Nidd. It's a former rope mill that’s been done up. It’s a tall, thin house, four floors in total.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. We’ve got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and everything should be in good order. It's got some original features from when it was a mill, mixed in with new things.
The garden at the back is a good size. There's a patio out there with a table. It's a nice spot if you get some sun. You go into it from the main living room downstairs.
Inside, the bedrooms are spread over the top two floors. One has its own ensuite shower. The attic room is big and has a little seating area with a TV and an Xbox, so kids can be up there. The stairs are cottage stairs, fairly steep.
Pateley Bridge is about a mile and a half walk along the river. That's where the shops, cafes and pubs are. There are a couple of decent places to eat there.
For walks, you can go straight from the door into the Nidderdale countryside. It’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you drive, you’ve got the National Trust places nearby. Fountains Abbey is about 30 minutes away. Brimham Rocks is even closer, maybe 20 minutes.
Harrogate is about 45 minutes by car. Masham, with the Theakston and Black Sheep breweries, is a 20 minute drive.
Facilities wise, it has what you’d need: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring one dog.
