Heather Lea
This is Heather Lea in Summerbridge, North Yorkshire. It's a detached house in a plot of its own, up on a bit of a slope so you get good views over the fields.

You're right next to Bank Woods, which is an ancient woodland and a nature reserve. You get access to it from the property. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so it's quiet and good for wildlife.
There's a local shop and a pub about a mile away in Summerbridge. For more choice, Pateley Bridge is four miles down the road. It's a small town with shops, pubs and cafes.
Harrogate is about twelve miles away. It's a spa town. You can visit the Turkish Baths if you like, and there's Betty's Tea Rooms. York is just under thirty miles. It's a straightforward drive and makes for a good day out.
For a historic visit, the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal estate is close by. The Visit Yorkshire website is useful for planning.
