The Bothy is in Laverton, in North Yorkshire. It's a detached cottage on our land. I live in the house up the drive so I'm around if you need anything, but otherwise you won't see me.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's still a small cottage.
You're right in the Nidderdale National Landscape. You can walk straight out of the gate onto the moors. There's a TV and WiFi. It has a wood burner, which is nice in the evening. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Your own parking space and a bike store if you need it. Bedding and towels are included.
The local shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in Kirkby Malzeard. The pub does food.
For days out, Ripon is a short drive. Harrogate is about half an hour. York is under an hour. Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey are both close by and worth a visit. The Forbidden Corner is that odd garden labyrinth place, if that's your sort of thing.
