Barbers Bolthole

Barbers Bolthole is in Masham, on the corner of the market square. It used to be a barber's shop. It's a stone cottage that sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

The place feels quite spacious inside for a cottage. The living room has an electric stove. The kitchen is a good size for cooking, with a table to eat at. There's also a small snug area with a couple of chairs that looks out to the garden.

Outside is a private patio area with an artificial lawn. It's enclosed, so it's safe for kids.

You're right in the middle of town. The market square is a two-minute walk. The two breweries, Black Sheep and Theakstons, are just down the road. There are a few pubs that do food, and a couple of shops. The Masham Sheep Fair is on the square in September.

For days out, you're well placed for the Yorkshire Dales. Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal are about 15 minutes' drive away. Ripon's about the same. Harrogate is roughly half an hour, and you can get to the edge of the North York Moors in that time too.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
