Stonehaven Cottage Nosterfield

Stonehaven Cottage is a bungalow in Nosterfield, which is between Bedale and Ripon. It's detached and all on one level, which is useful if stairs are a problem for you.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed. The second has two singles that can be pushed together to make a big double if you ask beforehand. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.

There's a living room at the front that looks out over fields. The kitchen is open to the dining area, so you can chat while someone's cooking. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Outside, there's a small paved area with a picnic table. It gets the sun in the evening. You can park right next to the cottage.

The village pub is about a five minute walk. It does food. The nearest proper shop is about four miles away in Bedale, so it's best to bring supplies with you.

Nosterfield Nature Reserve is less than a mile up the road. It's good for a quiet walk and birdwatching.

Fountains Abbey is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a ruin with big gardens. You need to book online: National Trust Fountains Abbey.

For a day out, Lightwater Valley is nearby for theme park rides. The Forbidden Corner near Leyburn is about a twenty minute drive. It's a strange sort of garden maze with follies and hidden doors. You have to book that online too.

Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV in the living room and smaller ones in the bedrooms. Wi-Fi is free. We can provide a cot and a highchair.

No pets, sorry.
