Holmeside Barn is just outside Grewelthorpe. It's a detached stone barn conversion. The main thing is the view from the sunroom: it's all fields and rolling hills, nothing in the way. It's very quiet.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well-fitted, comfortable.
There’s a big kitchen with a dining table. The doors open onto a deck. The garden is large and not fully enclosed, so dogs need to be kept under control. It's on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good walking and cycling from the door. Masham is the nearest proper town, about ten minutes away. It's got shops, butchers, and a couple of pubs. Ripon is about twenty minutes. Harrogate is maybe half an hour.
For days out, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal are close. The National Trust page has all the details. The RHS Garden at Harlow Carr is near Harrogate.
