The area is in the heart of historic and beautiful county of Monmouthshire . A number of historic towns are nearby including Usk 3. 8 miles, Raglan 8 miles, with its famous castle and lively Farm Park for children, Caerleon with Roman Baths, Abergavenny 8 miles with its bustling markets, cafes, shops and food festival in September. Big Pit Mining Museum, Tintern Abbey, Cwmcarn Mountain Biking, Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and the Wye Valley are amongst the various local attractions. Water sports can be enjoyed nearby on Llandegfydd Reservoir and the Monmouth and Brecon Canal.
For a fix of Welsh culture and history Cardiff is less than an hours drive with St Fagans, National History Museum a top attraction, along with Cardiff Castle and Castle Coch.
