Crabapple Cottage

Crab Apple Cottage is the perfect spot for a relaxing rural break in beautiful tranquil surroundings. With the Usk Valley Walk right on the doorstep it couldn’t be more convenient for walkers, cyclists, dog owners, picnickers or wild swimmers to pursue their interests. The Cottage is situated on the owners idyllic small holding with sheep, horses, hens a flock of doves and an orchard including an array of Crab Apples. Crab Apple Cottage was renovated to a high standard in 2021 and offers a large open plan living and dining area. The well maintained, enclosed garden provides great relaxation opportunities too.
The area is in the heart of historic and beautiful county of Monmouthshire . A number of historic towns are nearby including Usk 3. 8 miles, Raglan 8 miles, with its famous castle and lively Farm Park for children, Caerleon with Roman Baths, Abergavenny 8 miles with its bustling markets, cafes, shops and food festival in September. Big Pit Mining Museum, Tintern Abbey, Cwmcarn Mountain Biking, Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and the Wye Valley are amongst the various local attractions. Water sports can be enjoyed nearby on Llandegfydd Reservoir and the Monmouth and Brecon Canal.
For a fix of Welsh culture and history Cardiff is less than an hours drive with St Fagans, National History Museum a top attraction, along with Cardiff Castle and Castle Coch. Fancy a break from cooking? Why not eat out at one of the highly regarded local pubs, with the Chainbridge only 200 yards away and others nearby you will not be short of choice.
