Orchard Cottage is located a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Brecon town with its array of coffee shops, galleries, restaurants and bars, perfect property for a couple looking to explore this fabulous area. There is plenty to do in Brecon itself, with the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh a short distance from the property, as well as a theatre and cathedral. If you fancy taking things at a slower pace, why not take a barge ride down the canal, or take an alpaca out for a walk in the lovely surrounding countryside? For those looking to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, this property is just a 9-mile drive from the base of Pen Y Fan, where you can enjoy a climb to the top to see the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
Orchard Cottage is a fabulous base for walkers, cyclists, families and couples, as there is just so much beautiful countryside to explore. There are walks to be had from all directions of this property and the Taff Trail for cyclist’s starts at the Theatre, BikePark Wales is also a 20-minute drive from the property. The literary town of Hay-on-Wye is 16 miles away with its array of book shops, antique and independent shops and of course the world-renowned Hay Festival every year.
