Hope Cottage

Hope Cottage is in Knighton, right on the Welsh border. It's a converted stone milking parlour, detached. It's one of a few converted barns in a little group. The setting is very rural, opposite a nature reserve.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept.

There's a woodburner for colder nights. It works well. The patio looks out over the fields. It's quiet.

Knighton is a few miles away. It's got pubs, cafes, and a supermarket. The Offa's Dyke visitor centre is there, which is useful. The Dyke path itself runs along the hillside right opposite the cottage. You can see it from the garden. Other walking routes like the Shropshire Way and Glyndŵr's Way are close by too.

Ludlow is about a 20 minute drive. That's where the castle is, and the food festivals. Bishop's Castle is closer, maybe 15 minutes. It's a small town with interesting independent shops.

For facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.

If you're looking for places to visit, the National Trust has a few properties nearby like Stokesay Castle. The Offa's Dyke Path website is good for walk planning.
