This is Lodge 2. It's one of three detached lodges in a group, set right on the edge of Llangunllo village. It's very quiet here. You've got two acres of grounds to use, mostly just fields.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order and well-equipped.
There's an old mill race running through the grounds. It's a wet area, so it can be marshy or dry depending on the rain. Just so you know.
The pub is about 250 yards down the lane. It's a proper local. The nearest shop for basics is in Knighton, about seven miles away, so you'll want to arrive with supplies.
Knighton is a good base. It's on the Offa's Dyke Path, so walking from the door is easy. There's a red kite feeding station nearby, and the Powis Castle gardens are well worth a visit.
You're right on the border here. Shropshire is a short drive away. Places like Ludlow, Stokesay Castle, and Attingham Park are all within about half an hour.
For the facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a patio with a BBQ and a garden area with a view over the fields.
