This is Hill View Lodge in Heyope. It's a detached house, so you're not joined on to anyone. There’s a good amount of garden around it and your own drive.
It’s a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. It sleeps four, in three bedrooms. There's a kingsize bed upstairs and two single rooms. Two bathrooms as well, both with showers. One’s a walk-in shower downstairs.
Downstairs there's a kitchen with the usual stuff, a living room with a wood burner, and a separate games room with a pool table. There's also a conservatory that looks out over the garden. The utility room is handy for boots and coats.
Outside, there's a decent sized lawn and a patio. The hot tub is under a cover.
Heyope is a small village. The main place you'll go is Knighton, which is just down the road. It's a border town, partly in Wales and partly in England. It has shops, pubs, and a Co-op. It's a good base for walking.
You're right by the Offa's Dyke Path here. The official site has maps and route ideas. Knighton has the Offa's Dyke Centre. About a 30 minute drive gets you to places like Clun with its castle, or Ludlow for the market and food. Welshpool, with the castle and steam railway, is also within that range.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's also a stairgate. No pets.
If you're planning other days out, the Visit Wales and National Trust websites are useful.
