This is River Cottage. It's one of a few bungalows on a small site near Heyope village in Powys. It's detached and sits in its own garden, so you've got your own space. The garden is enclosed and there's a patio area with a private hot tub.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a four star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The layout is open plan inside.
You're out in the countryside here, so it's quiet. The views are over fields. There's a local pub about two miles away. The nearest shop is in Knighton, about five miles.
Knighton is a proper border town. Part of it is in Wales, part in England. It's a good base for walking. The Offa's Dyke Path runs right through it, and the Glyndwr's Way is nearby too. The National Trust has information on the area. There's an Offa's Dyke Heritage Centre in town if you're interested in the history.
Within half an hour's drive, you can get to places like Church Stretton and the Long Mynd in Shropshire, or over into Wales towards Welshpool. Ludlow is about a 40 minute drive if you want a market town with good food.
On site, there's a shared games room for guests. At the cottage, there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if you need one. No pets, I'm afraid.
