Red Kite Cottage is in Heyope, in the Welsh Marches. It's a detached cottage on a small, quiet site with a few other cottages. You're at the top of the village, so you get good views over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, all on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The layout is open plan, with the living room, dining area and kitchen all in one space.
There's an enclosed garden with a patio area and a hot tub. It's private. You also get access to a shared games room on the site. Facilities inside include a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
The nearest pub and restaurant is about two miles away in Knighton. Knighton is a proper border town, partly in Wales and partly in England. It's useful for shops, cafes, and a supermarket. It's also on Offa's Dyke Path, which is good for walking.
From the cottage, you can easily get to a lot of places. Shrewsbury, Ludlow, and Welshpool are all within about a 40-minute drive. Powis Castle is near Welshpool. Over the border into England, the Ironbridge Gorge museums are about an hour away.
If you want to stay local, you're right in the middle of the Teme Valley, which is good for country walks. The Visit Mid Wales site has more ideas.
