Lodge 3

Lodge 3 is in Llangunllo, near Knighton. It's one of three similar lodges sat together in a field, but it's detached and you have your own space. It's very quiet here, you just get the fields and the sound of the river.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order and it's well-equipped.

The lodge has its own hot tub on the decking. The patio looks out over the grounds, which are about two acres. There's an old mill race running through them, so it can be a bit damp in places if it's been wet.

The local pub is about a five minute walk. It's a proper local. For shops, you'll need to drive to Knighton, which is about seven miles.

Knighton is on Offa's Dyke Path if you like walking. There's a red kite feeding centre not far away, which is good to see. Further out, you've got the Elan Valley dams and Powis Castle near Welshpool. On the Shropshire side, Stokesay Castle is impressive and Ludlow is about half an hour's drive for the castle and the town.

What's here: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Your own parking space. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
