The Old Smithy is a two bedroom cottage in Llangunllo, Mid Wales. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a walk in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and comfortable. There's a woodburning stove in the sitting room, which is good when the evenings are cold.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio garden. It has a hot tub. The view from it is across the Radnorshire hills. You can park two cars on the parking area directly opposite the cottage.
There's a games room, but it's across the lane from the main house. You get the key for it.
The village has one pub. It's traditional and friendly. They serve local beer. For a meal, you'll need to drive to one of the nearby villages, which takes about ten or fifteen minutes.
You can start walks from the door. Glyndwr's Way runs nearby. Offa's Dyke is about six miles away, near Knighton. The Elan Valley reservoirs are worth a trip for the scenery. There's also a red kite feeding station nearby if you want to see them.
Further out, you've got towns like Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow, and Hereford. They're all about a 45 to 60 minute drive. Powis Castle is in that direction too.
The place has wifi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed garden for them.
