The Old Smithy is in Llangunllo, a small village in Mid Wales. It's a detached cottage, used to be a blacksmith's. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
There's a wood burning stove, which is nice in the colder months. The hot tub is out the back, with a view of the fields. The garden is enclosed. Parking is for two cars, but it's across the road from the cottage itself.
There's a games room with a pool table and darts, but you get to it from the roadside. Just so you know.
You can walk straight from the door. Glyndwr's Way is nearby. The village has a local pub, a proper traditional one, about a three minute walk away. It serves beer and ale. Other pubs with food are a short drive.
Knighton is about six miles. That's where you can pick up Offa's Dyke Path. Presteigne is nine miles. The Elan Valley reservoirs are a good drive out, maybe 40 minutes, but it's spectacular scenery. For a big day out, Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow, or Hereford are all within an hour.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The shower is a walk-in. We accept up to two dogs.
