Oak View Cottage

Oak View Cottage is in Heyope, just outside Knighton in Powys. It's detached, on a small site with a couple of other cottages. You get your own garden, which is enclosed, and a private hot tub on the patio.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy.

You're right on the border here. Knighton is about two miles away. It's a proper border town, partly in Wales and partly in England. There's a shop, a few pubs, and places to eat. The town is on Offa's Dyke Path, so you'll see a lot of walkers.

The cottage has a wood burner, which makes it cosy. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Towels and bedding are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.

For things to do, you're surrounded by walking country. Offa's Dyke Path is right there. The National Trust has information on it. The Elan Valley reservoirs are about a 30-minute drive west, good for a scenic drive or a bike ride.

If you drive for half an hour, you can get to Ludlow for the food market, or into Shropshire to places like Church Stretton. Welshpool, with its castle and steam railway, is about the same distance north.
