The cottage is called Cartref and it's in Llysfaen, just inland from Colwyn Bay. It’s semi-detached, sleeps five. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. We’ve got a 3 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable but it's not a show home.
There’s a conservatory on the back which looks out onto the garden. The garden is enclosed so it’s safe for dogs, and we do allow up to two pets. You can park right outside. It’s got things like a washing machine, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included.
The stairs are a standard cottage staircase, so they're a bit steeper than a modern house. We’ve put a stairgate at the top.
You’ll need a car. The local shop is half a mile away and there’s a pub about seven tenths of a mile. They do food.
You’re about three miles from the coast around Colwyn Bay and Old Colwyn. The Welsh Mountain Zoo is in that direction too, about three miles. Into Conwy it’s about six miles for the castle and the harbour. Llandudno with the pier and promenade is about the same.
If you head inland, you’re right on the edge of Snowdonia. Betws-y-Coed is about a twenty minute drive. Surf Snowdonia, that artificial surfing place, is in the Conwy Valley not far from here. For a big day out, Anglesey, Chester, or up Snowdon itself are all within an hour’s drive.
