Smithy Barn
Smithy Barn is one of four cottages converted from farm buildings. It’s on a working farm with about 40 acres of land. The location is Betws yn Rhos, which is a quiet village inland from the coast.
It sleeps four, across three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main living space is open plan with a wood burner for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure if you have children.
The village has a shop and a pub that does food, about a mile away. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Colwyn Bay, which is about seven miles. The beaches at Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea are about the same distance. Llandudno, with the pier and the Great Orme tramway, is under ten miles.
If you're here for walking or outdoor stuff, you're well placed. The Conwy Valley and Snowdonia are a short drive inland. Betws-y-Coed and the Swallow Falls are about 20 minutes away. For history, Conwy town is a must-see, with the castle and walls. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Further afield, within about 40 minutes, you've got Bodnant Garden, Caernarfon Castle, and the Isle of Anglesey. Chester is also about 40 minutes' drive east.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
