Sea Folly
Sea Folly is in Brightlingsea. It's a terraced house, three bedrooms, sleeps five. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The beach is about a three minute walk away. It's a shingle beach, good for kids. The town centre is basically on your doorstep. There's a shop 10 yards one way, a pub 15 yards the other. A few good places to eat are within 100 yards, including three fish and chip shops.
The stairs are steep. They're proper cottage stairs, so just mind your head.
There's an enclosed garden at the back. It's got a patio and a lawn. Good if you've got dogs, we take up to two.
Inside, there's a dining room and a living room. Nothing fancy, but it's got what you need: TV, wifi, washing machine, all the bedding and towels.
For a day out, Clacton-on-Sea is a few miles down the road. It's got the pier and amusements. Mersea Island is about 25 minutes by car for seafood, or Colchester is a similar drive for the castle, the zoo, and Roman history. You can get the train to London from there.
