West Mersea Park is a lodge on a holiday park in West Mersea. It's about a five minute walk from the beach.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a bath, and a separate shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. Everything's on one floor.
There's a wraparound verandah with some outdoor chairs. You can sit out there in the evening.
The beach has the row of coloured beach huts. It's shingle. The park has a small shop and a bar that does food. There's a cafe by the beach too.
Mersea is known for seafood, especially oysters. There are a few pubs and restaurants on the island. For a walk, Cudmore Grove Country Park at East Mersea is good. It's open space with views over the water.
If you want to go off the island, Colchester is about twenty minutes away. It's an old town with a castle. Maldon is about the same drive, that's where the Thames sailing barges are.
In terms of what's there: WiFi, TV, parking, bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one dog.
