Sunnyside is a Victorian cottage on Mersea Island, in West Mersea. It's about a quarter of a mile to walk to the beach.
It sleeps five people. There are three bedrooms upstairs: two doubles and a single. There's a family bathroom up there too. Downstairs there's a second shower room, which is handy.
The kitchen is quite big and gets a lot of light, with bifold doors out to the garden. The garden itself is a good size. The living and dining area is open plan.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout works well for a wheelchair user getting in and around the ground floor, but do note the bedrooms are upstairs.
The high street is a short walk away. There are a few pubs and restaurants you can get to on foot, and some local shops. Mersea is known for its seafood. The beach huts are along the front.
Cudmore Grove Country Park over at East Mersea is nice for a walk or a picnic. It's quieter there. If you fancy going over to the mainland, Colchester or Maldon are about a twenty minute drive. Colchester has the castle and is a proper old town.
What's here: There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. Parking is on site. Sorry, no pets.
