The Boat House At Tides Reach
The Boat House is in West Mersea, on Mersea Island. It's a new build, so everything works properly and it's nice and bright inside. It's about a minute's walk to the beach.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. The main bedroom is on the ground floor and has its own wet room shower. Upstairs is a twin room with a family bathroom. There's on-site parking.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's modern and comfortable. It's also wheelchair accessible at the entrance, and the wet room helps, but it's worth noting the stairs to the second bedroom are standard.
There's a park, a small shop, and a bar that does food about five minutes walk away. The main village with butchers, bakeries, and supermarkets is just over a mile up the road.
For a day out, Cudmore Grove Country Park at East Mersea is good for a walk or a picnic. If you want to go further, Colchester is about twenty minutes by car. It's an old Roman city. Maldon is about the same distance the other way.
Facilities include a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
