Longridge
Longridge is a house in Peldon, Essex. It's detached. Been done up recently, so it's all fresh and clean inside.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.
The garden is a good size, enclosed, with a patio and a lawn. There's a hot tub out there. The living room has doors that open onto it. You get a view over fields.
There's a pub at the end of the lane in the village. For a proper shop, you'll need to drive a little way or go onto the island.
Mersea Island is about a six minute drive. It's a tidal island, so the road floods over for an hour or so on the very highest tides. Worth checking the tide times before you head over.
It's good for walks along the sea wall and beaches. There are seafood places, pubs, a small supermarket and a few shops over there. The Mersea Island Vineyard does tours.
Colchester is twenty minutes by car. It's got the shops, restaurants, and Castle Park. The zoo is just outside the town.
The coast at places like Walton-on-the-Naze or Clacton is about forty minutes away if you want amusements and a pier. For quieter walking, Dedham Vale is about thirty-five minutes.
The house has parking. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and bedding is included. You can bring one dog.
