Baytree Cottage 1 Birch Green

This is Baytree Cottage 1, in Birch Green. It's a semi-detached cottage, next to the other one we rent out, and our own house is just there too. It's a small place, good for a couple, with a sofa bed if you need a third person.

You've got one bedroom and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a wood burner, which heats the whole place up nicely. The rating is 3 Star, so it’s comfortable and clean, not luxury. It's all on one floor except for a couple of steps inside, which is worth knowing.

The White Hart pub is about a five minute walk away. They do food and real ales. The nearest shop is in Tiptree, about four miles. You can park right outside the cottage.

Colchester is close by if you need anything bigger. It's got the castle, the Roman stuff, and the zoo. Visit Colchester has the details. Mersea Island is about eight miles east for seafood, sailing, or a walk on the beach. For walks inland, Visit Essex has good routes.

You can get to some nice Suffolk villages like Lavenham or Kersey within half an hour. Flatford Mill is about the same.

The cottage has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot in if you need one. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
