Baytree Cottage 2 Birch Green

This is Baytree Cottage 2. It's in Birch Green, Essex. Next door to our house, but it's self-contained and private. There's another cottage next to it, Baytree Cottage 1, but you have your own space.

It sleeps up to four, but it's one bedroom plus a sofa bed in the living area, so it's best for a couple or a small family. It's got a three star rating. It's clean, warm, and everything works. The wood burner is easy to use.

The garden is enclosed and it's yours to use. Parking is right there on the drive. We include all the bedding and towels. There's a cot if you need it, and you can bring one dog.

There's a pub about five minutes walk away. They serve food and have real ale. The nearest shop is in the next village, about four miles.

You're not far from the coast here. Mersea Island is about eight miles away for beaches and sailing. Colchester is close. It's an old town with a castle, the zoo, and a train to London if you need it.

If you like driving out for the day, places like Lavenham, Finchingfield, and Dedham Vale are within half an hour. Flatford Mill is out that way too.
