It's Orchard Cottage, one of a few farm buildings we converted. It's all on the ground floor, grouped around a courtyard. You've got your own space and it looks out over the fields.
It's for four people, but that's in one bedroom. There's a double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. One bathroom, which is a wet room with grab rails. The worktops are low too, so it works well if you need easier access.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. Everything you need is there: a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside.
You can bring one dog. The garden's shared with the other cottages, but there's plenty of room. It's three acres with views over the countryside. We get a lot of birds.
It's a quiet spot. There's a shop about a ten minute walk away. The nearest pub is The Dog House, about two miles. They do decent food.
You can walk down to the creek from here. For the coast, it's a short drive to Point Clear beach itself, or you've got Brightlingsea and Mersea Island close by. Frinton and Walton-on-the-Naze are along the coast too, all within half an hour.
Colchester is about twenty minutes in the car. You've got the castle, the zoo, and all the shops there. If you fancy a day out, Constable country is that way, with Dedham and Flatford Mill.
