Peartree Cottage

Peartree Cottage is on a former farm site just outside Point Clear. It's a bungalow, so everything is on the ground floor. The place is part of a small group of cottages around a courtyard, but your bit is private. It looks out into the middle of the property where you can see the big pond.

It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One of the bathrooms is a wet room and it's wheelchair accessible. The whole place has grab rails and wide doors. It's got a 4 Star rating.

You get a patio garden area. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. The WiFi usually works. You can bring one dog. There's parking right there.

The site is just under three acres. You can walk around it. There's a bit of a walk down to the creek. The main thing here is it's quiet. You'll see a lot of birds.

The local shop is about ten minutes walk. The nearest pub is two miles away in St Osyth.

The coast is about a mile away at most. Point Clear itself has a beach and a bit of a seawall path. If you want a proper sandy beach, Frinton or Walton-on-the-Naze are about twenty minutes drive. Clacton is about fifteen minutes the other way.

Colchester is a twenty-five minute drive. That's where the big shops are, and the castle. The zoo is good if you have kids. Visit Colchester has the details.

For a day out, Mersea Island is about half an hour. You can get seafood there. Brightlingsea is nice too; it's a proper sailing town. Visit Essex Coast has a list of places.
