This is Peartree Cottage in Point Clear. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level, and the doorways and one of the wet rooms are adapted for a wheelchair.
It sleeps six. That's two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We take one dog. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well equipped.
The cottage is part of an old farm conversion, grouped around a courtyard with a few others. You get your own patio and garden area. It's quiet and looks out over fields. There are about three acres of grounds here.
Point Clear is on the edge of the Stour estuary. It's good for walking and birdwatching. You can walk down to the creek from here. There's a lake a couple of miles away if you want to fish or take out a boat.
The coast is close. It's a mix of beaches and marshland. Brightlingsea is about ten minutes by car. Wivenhoe, Mersea Island, Clacton, Frinton, and Walton-on-the-Naze are all within half an hour.
Colchester is about twenty minutes away. That's where the shops, castle, and zoo are. A bit further, you've got places like Dedham Vale and Lavenham, which are nice for a day out.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. We include all bedding and towels. A cot and highchair are here if you need them.
