Dairy Cottage
Dairy Cottage is in Point Clear, Essex. It's on the ground floor of a bungalow, detached. It's in a courtyard with a few other converted farm buildings, but you get your own bit of garden and it feels private.
It sleeps four in one bedroom. That bedroom has a wet room ensuite, so it's all open plan. There's a pull-out bed in the living area for the extra guests. It's all on one level which is good. There are grab rails in the wet room and a portable shower seat if you need it.
The place is straightforward and clean. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
You're in the middle of about three acres of land. It's fields and wildlife. Good for walking. The coast and the creek are a walk away. For a proper beach day, you'd drive to Frinton or Walton-on-the-Naze. They're about twenty minutes.
The local shop is about five hundred yards. The nearest pub is two miles. Colchester is the main town nearby, maybe twenty-five minutes by car. They've got the castle, the zoo, and all the shops. Visit Colchester has good information.
If you like art, you're near Constable Country. Dedham Vale is about half an hour's drive. The National Trust page for Dedham Vale covers the main walks and sights.
That's about it. It's quiet. It's comfortable. It's a good base.
