Tilmangate Barn
Tilmangate Barn is out on Fairbourne Heath. It's quite isolated, down a long farm track. You're surrounded by woods and fields with horses in them. It's very quiet.
It's a barn conversion, so it's a big, open space inside with high ceilings. It sleeps three. There's a double bedroom and a single. The single room is quite small but it's fine for one person. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The living area is all one room with the kitchen. Doors open from there onto a patio with a table and chairs. The patio is concrete. There's parking right outside.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxurious. Everything is on the ground floor and the doors are wide, so it's suitable if you use a wheelchair. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
You'll need a car. The nearest proper shop is a drive away. There is a local pub, The Gate Inn, which is about a mile and a half down the road for a meal.
You're well placed for getting out. National Trust South & South East Kent has a lot of nearby places like Sissinghurst Castle Garden. The coast at Dungeness is about half an hour's drive, it's a very strange, flat landscape. Rye and Canterbury are both within 30 minutes if you want to explore a town.
