The Stables is one of a pair of converted barns, next to Bearsted Barn. It's on our land, about three and a half acres. You can also get into another fifteen acres of woods nearby, which is owned by the Woodland Trust. The area is classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor and it's been done with wheelchair access in mind, so the doorways are wide and there aren't any steps to get in. It's got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well equipped.
The space is open plan. There's a wood burning stove for colder nights. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking right next to the property.
We take up to two dogs. There's space for them to run in the grounds.
The local pub, shops, and a restaurant are about half a mile away in Bearsted village. You can get a train to London from there, or from Maidstone.
Maidstone is three miles away. It has the main shops, a theatre, and a big leisure centre with pools. Mote Park is good for a walk; it's a large park with a lake. The Leeds Castle estate is very close, about a ten minute drive. It's worth visiting.
For walking or cycling, you've got the woods right here and the North Downs nearby. The River Medway path is pleasant. You're well placed for visiting other parts of Kent. Canterbury, the coast at Whitstable, and Royal Tunbridge Wells are all within about a 40 minute drive.
