Church View

Church View is one of the Bearsted Barns, over in our field. It’s a converted barn, so it’s a single open-plan space really. You sleep two, in the one bedroom area. It’s all on the ground floor, which is handy.

It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well-finished and comfortable. There’s a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. We include all the bedding and towels. You’ve got a dishwasher and a washing machine too.

The place is wheelchair accessible. The entrance and the main living space are all level. The shower is a walk-in.

You’re welcome to bring up to two dogs. There’s a highchair and a travel cot here if you need them.

Outside, you share the patio area with the other barn. You’ve got your own bit. It looks out over the field. We’ve got about three and a half acres here, and you can walk into the Bearsted Woodland Trust land next door – that’s another fifteen acres of woods.

The village is about half a mile away. There’s a shop, a couple of pubs, and a restaurant there. Bearsted station has trains into London, if you need that.

Maidstone is three miles off. It’s got everything: shops, a theatre, the leisure centre with pools. Mote Park is big, good for a walk. Leeds Castle is about ten minutes by car. It’s worth a visit. The Leeds Castle website has all the details. You can walk along the River Medway from Maidstone too.

For local walks and information, the Kent Downs National Landscape site is useful. And if you’re driving out, the National Trust has places like Sissinghurst Castle Garden within half an hour.

Parking is right outside the barn.
