Heron Barn is near Hollingbourne, in Kent. It's a converted barn from 1761. It used to store hops. It's detached.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, living area, dining table, all in one space. You get views over the fields.
The bathroom has a proper walk-in shower. No bath.
You can bring one dog.
Outside, there's a private patio with a table and a BBQ. The garden is shared with a couple of other cottages here.
There's a shared outdoor heated swimming pool. It's only open in the summer, usually May to September, depending on the weather. There's also a shared games room with a pool table and table tennis.
In the village, there's a pub about a ten-minute walk away. It serves food.
Leeds Castle is about a fifteen-minute drive. It's a good day out. Visit Kent has ideas for other things to do. The North Downs are right here for walking. You can be in Whitstable for oysters or Canterbury for the Cathedral in under half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
