Norwood Dairy

This is Norwood Dairy in Wormshill. It used to be an old dairy barn that was empty for years, but we converted it a while back. It's next to the Manor House, which is a nice old timber-framed place.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One twin bedroom is downstairs, just a couple of steps down from the main living area. The main bedroom is upstairs, in the oldest part of the barn. It's got an en suite and you can see the original beams in there. The stairs up to it are oak but they're quite steep, just so you know.

Inside, it's all open plan with a high ceiling. There's underfloor heating so it's warm. The kitchen's separate but through a doorway, so you're not completely cut off. It's modern and clean, not a fancy show kitchen.

Outside there's a small walled courtyard. It gets the sun and it's enclosed, so it's safe if you've got kids with you.

The Blacksmith Arms pub is a short walk away. It's a proper old pub, does food. The village is quiet and you can start walks right from the door. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Isle of Sheppey.

For things to do, Leeds Castle is about a 20 minute drive. It's a good day out. Sissinghurst Castle Garden is roughly half an hour away. The coast, around Whitstable or Faversham, is also within a 30 minute drive.

What's included: all the bedding and towels, WiFi, parking right here. We've got a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. No pets, I'm afraid.
