Old Shires Barn

Old Shires Barn is in Loyterton, near Faversham in Kent. It's a converted barn, detached, with its own garden and a covered outdoor area.

It sleeps eight. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.

The layout is interesting. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, each with its own separate staircase from the main living area. One of these is a family suite with single 'pod' beds and a double bed on a mezzanine level above. The stairs there are open-tread. The other upstairs bedroom is behind shutter doors. The third bedroom is on the ground floor.

There's a wood burner in the living area. The kitchen has bi-folding doors that open to the garden. Outside, there's a covered gazebo with a firepit and a barbecue, plus a table tennis table.

The property allows up to two pets. The garden is enclosed.

You're in the countryside here, surrounded by farmland and orchards. There are good walks from the door that lead to local pubs. The George pub is about a 20-minute walk away, and The Carpenters is a 5-minute drive. Both do food.

Faversham town is about 15 minutes by car. Canterbury and the coast at Whitstable are within a 30-minute drive.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, a PlayStation 4 in the family room, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available.
