Norwood Barn

Norwood Barn is in Wormshill. That's a small village in Kent, near Sittingbourne. The area is really rural. You're in the countryside but you can get to London or the Channel Tunnel in under an hour if you need to.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's underfloor heating, which works well. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.

The main thing about the place is the space and the view. It's a converted barn, so the ceilings are high with old oak beams. The living room is up on a sort of mezzanine floor. There's a big picture window up there that looks north. On a clear day you can see for miles, right out towards Whitstable and the coast.

Downstairs is open plan, kitchen and dining area. There are big glass doors that open to the garden. The garden is a courtyard, enclosed by a flint wall. It's secure for children.

A thing to note: the old barn doors are still on one side. They're used as shutters. You close them at night for privacy. It's a bit different but it works.

There's a local pub in the village. For bigger shops, you'll need to drive to Sittingbourne. The countryside around here is good for walks. You're not far from the North Downs.

If you're looking for days out, Leeds Castle is about half an hour away. The seaside at Whitstable or Faversham Creek is roughly the same. For a longer trip, Canterbury is within 30 minutes.

Facilities are pretty standard: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. No pets, unfortunately.
