Kingfisher Oast
Kingfisher Oast is in Hollingbourne village. It used to be part of a hop farm. It's a tall, round building, a proper oast house, but it's a cottage now. It's detached and part of a small estate.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, and they all have their own bathroom, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main living area is all open plan downstairs, so it's good if you're all together.
There are old pencil marks on the wall in one of the bedrooms, from the 1700s hop pickers. They wrote their names and dates. It's just there.
Outside, there's a shared heated swimming pool for the summer months. There's also a shared games room with a pool table and table tennis. You get your own garden bit with a table and a charcoal BBQ.
The place is wheelchair accessible at the entrance and the main living floor is all on the ground level. There's parking.
You're allowed up to two dogs. We leave you a bottle of local wine when you arrive.
Hollingbourne has a local pub. Leeds Castle is about a ten minute drive away. For a longer day out, the Kent coast is maybe 40 minutes. Canterbury is about half an hour.
