The Cottage at Harple Farm is in Detling, on the edge of the North Downs. It's part of our farm, so you'll see horses and ponies in the paddocks. There are two older horses, Beauty and Maggie, at the back. They're friendly if you want to say hello.
The cottage sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has a four-poster bed. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. There are low beams in some rooms, so mind your head. The stairs are a typical cottage stair, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
You have your own enclosed garden. It's got a patio and a lawn. There's a gate that leads into our meadow, and a bench at the top if you want to sit. There's also a small private wood you can explore.
Boxley village is about a twenty minute walk one way, and Detling village the other way. Both have a good pub. You're close to the A249 for getting about.
Leeds Castle is about ten minutes by car. It's very close. For a day out, Canterbury, Faversham, or the coast at Whitstable are all within half an hour's drive.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a wood burner. We include bedding and towels. A highchair and cot are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. The entrance is step-free.
