The Cottage at Harple Farm is in Detling, Kent. It's on our farm, so the views from the windows are just fields and the woods at the back. You'll see the ponies in the paddock out front.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a four-poster bed. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's an old farm cottage, so the ceilings are beamed and some of the walls are brick. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase.
The kitchen is modern and has what you'll need. There's a wood burner in the living room. The WiFi works.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio with a table, then a gate to an enclosed lawn. That leads to a meadow and then into our private woods. You're welcome to walk in the woods. There's a bench in the meadow for sitting out.
We keep chickens. You'll find some eggs for you when you arrive. You can go and see them if you like.
Detling village has a pub and is about a 20-minute walk one way. Boxley village, the other way, also has a good pub. It's about a 20-minute walk through the fields.
Leeds Castle is very close, about a ten-minute drive. It's good for a day out. For a longer trip, you can get to Canterbury, Faversham, or the coast at Whitstable in under half an hour. The A249 is nearby, so getting around is straightforward.
Facilities: parking for two cars, washing machine, BBQ, TV, wood burner, cot and highchair. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
