Hay Fields is one of the cottages at Tilmangate Farm, out on Fairbourne Heath. It's on a working arable farm, so there's a big yard and outbuildings. Your bit is a private garden with a patio, looking out over the fields.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. One's a wet room on the ground floor, so it's wheelchair accessible. The whole place has underfloor heating. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. Because it's a conversion, some doorways are standard width, not extra wide.
It's a single-storey layout, everything's on the ground floor. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger. You've got a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
The cottage is one of two that are side-by-side. There's a soundproofed connecting door between them, but it has to stay locked shut during your stay.
You're out in the countryside here. There's a local pub within walking distance. For bigger shops, you'd drive to Faversham or Sittingbourne, which are about fifteen minutes away.
It's a good spot for getting around Kent. Whitstable and the coast are about half an hour's drive. Canterbury is roughly twenty-five minutes. If you're into walking, the White Cliffs of Dover are about forty minutes away. For a historical day out, Dover Castle is under an hour.
