The Wood Shed is in Westleton, Suffolk. It’s a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That’s handy if stairs aren’t your thing. It’s just next to our house, but you get your own garden and it’s quiet, with the windows looking out over fields and trees.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have their own little shower rooms off them. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well-equipped and comfortable. There’s a wood burner in the sitting area for cooler evenings.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. The garden is enclosed, but check the fencing is secure for your own dog when you arrive.
For a shop, you need to go about a mile into Westleton village. The pub there, The Crown, is about two miles. They do good food.
Location-wise, you’re set. Dunwich Heath and beach is a few minutes in the car. It’s shingle, but wild and peaceful. RSPB Minsmere is very close, that’s a big draw for birdwatchers. Southwold, with the pier and the Adnams shop, is about a ten-minute drive. Aldeburgh is maybe twenty minutes.
Inside, it’s open plan. There’s a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, then the living area with the wood burner. Outside there’s a patio with furniture, and parking right beside it.
There’s a shared games room on the property with a pool table, which you’re welcome to use.
