Black Sheep Retreat is a caravan on the Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Camp, just outside Rhyl. It's a detached unit, so you've got your own space. Sleeps eight, but there's only one main bathroom. It's got three bedrooms: one double and two twins, plus a sofa bed in the living room if you need it. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and functional rather than luxurious.
The caravan has its own little garden with seating and a barbecue. Inside there's a kitchen, a dining table, and the living area. There's WiFi, a TV, and bedding is included.
The main thing here is the holiday camp itself. There's a swimming pool, crazy golf, soft play, and play areas for kids. There are two bars on site, a pizza takeout, a fish and chip shop, and a supermarket. There's also a theatre with shows every night, tennis and basketball courts, and pedal go-karts. They're building a motorised go-kart track and a high ropes course, due to open in May 2026.
You're right by the coast road. Rhyl beach is a few minutes' drive, or a longer walk. It's a big sandy beach. The town has the usual seaside stuff: arcades, funfairs, SeaQuarium, and a miniature railway. The promenade has been done up recently.
If you want to get out, the Wales Coastal Path is right there for walks. Fishing and crabbing is popular at Marina Lake, which is in a nature reserve. Gwrych Castle, the one from the TV show, is near Abergele, about a 20-minute drive west. Llandudno, with its pier and the Great Orme, is about half an hour's drive.
Useful links for planning: Visit Wales and National Trust for places like Bodnant Garden, which is about a 40-minute drive.
No pets allowed, sorry. On-site parking for one car.
