The Mouse House is in Rhuddlan, North Wales. It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom.
It's a small cottage, right on a little lane opposite the castle ruins. You get a decent little patio garden out the back that's fully enclosed, which is handy.
The place is a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well, so it's comfortable and everything works. Now, the stairs. They're in the middle of the living room, and they're the spiral type. They're steep and a bit narrow. Just so you know.
You can see Rhuddlan Castle from the front. It's a Cadw site. Sometimes they have people dressed up in medieval gear there. The high street has shops and a couple of pubs that do food, all a couple of minutes' walk away.
From the door, you can walk along the river. There's a nature trail. You get views out over the Vale of Clwyd. St Asaph Cathedral is about two miles away. The coast is a short drive.
For a day out, Conwy Castle and town is about half an hour's drive. Llandudno is similar. The Snowdonia National Park is within easy reach too, maybe 40 minutes to the edge.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, WiFi, a wood burner, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
