The Mouse House is in Rhuddlan. It's a small two-up two-down terraced cottage, but it's just been done up so everything inside is new. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. You can bring up to two dogs. The back garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have dogs or kids. It's got a washing machine and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included.
It's right on a little lane opposite Rhuddlan Castle. You can see the ruins from the front window. Cadw looks after it. Sometimes they have people in medieval costume there, which the kids seem to like.
You can walk to everything. The high street with shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and a few places to eat are all a few minutes away. There's a nature trail by the river too, good for a short walk. You can see a long way from some spots around here, over to St Asaph and the hills.
For days out, you're about four miles from the coast at Rhyl. The North Wales Path is easily accessible for longer walks. National Trust Wales has places like Bodnant Garden about half an hour's drive away. Conwy Castle and town walls are about twenty minutes by car. Llandudno is roughly thirty minutes if you want the pier and the Great Orme.
A few things to know. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, it's that kind of cottage. And while it says coastal accessible, it's not right on the beach, it's a short drive to get to the sea.
