Ash

This cottage is called Ash. It's on the High Street in a Suffolk village. It's a barn conversion, so the ceilings are high and the rooms feel big. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is downstairs and has its own walk-in shower, which is handy.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a proper wood-burning stove for winter. The sofas are comfy and there's a smart TV with Netflix.

Outside, you've got your own patio with a barbecue and a hot tub. The hot tub is private, just for you. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good for dogs and kids. There's also about an acre of shared grounds to wander around in, and a separate, fully fenced dog field if you've brought your pets.

For facilities, pretty much everything is included. Bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine in a shared laundry room on site. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

The village has a pub that does food. For a bigger shop, you'll need to drive about five miles. It's a good base for getting out and about.

Bungay and Beccles are the nearest market towns, about ten to fifteen minutes by car. They're nice for a poke around and have riverside walks. Beccles has an open-air heated swimming pool in the summer. Southwold is about twenty-five minutes drive, for the beach and the pier. Further afield, you've got Aldeburgh for seafood, Framlingham for the castle, and Norwich for a proper city day out. All of those are within about forty-five minutes.

If you want to look things up, the Visit Suffolk website is useful. So is the National Trust page for the Suffolk Coast.

You can bring up to two well-behaved dogs. We just ask that they stay off the furniture and beds.
