Chestnut Tree Barn is on the High Street in a Suffolk village. It's a big place, sleeps up to fourteen. It's actually three bits joined together: two cottages and a separate apartment above. That means people can have their own space, but there are big shared rooms to meet up in.
It's got seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. Two bedrooms and their showers are on the ground floor, so no steps. The apartment bedroom and bathroom is upstairs, but you get to it from an outside staircase.
The place is rated 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There are comfy sofas, a wood burner, and TVs with Netflix. The gardens are big, nearly three acres. Part of that is a fully enclosed dog field, about an acre, so dogs can run safely. We take up to five dogs. There are lawns, patios, BBQs, and two hot tubs that each fit six people.
You're in a good spot for exploring. Bungay is about ten minutes away by car, Beccles about fifteen. Both are nice market towns on the River Waveney, good for walks and boat trips. They have shops and plenty of places to eat. Beccles has an open-air lido for swimming in the summer.
The coast is about half an hour. Southwold has a sandy beach and a pier. Aldeburgh is good for seafood. Framlingham is inland, famous for its castle. Norwich is further, about 21 miles, but it's a proper city with a castle museum, shops, and the cathedral.
There's a shop and a pub about five miles away. The pub does good food.
Facilities wise: everything you'd expect is included. Washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, stairgate. All bedding and towels are provided. There's plenty of parking on site.
