Old Hall Farm House St Nicholas South Elmham

This is Old Hall Farm House. It's a longhouse in St Nicholas South Elmham. The place was built in 1420, so you get things like big ceiling beams and old oak floorboards. It's on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and cows around.

It sleeps nine. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing is the indoor swimming pool. It's heated and it's just for you when you're staying. Outside, there's a decent sized garden. The view is over fields, nothing else.

Inside, there's a wood-burning stove in the living room. The stairs are there, but they're old house stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow in places.

It's very quiet here. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in Bungay. Bungay has a few antique shops and places to eat. You can hire bikes or canoes there too.

If you walk from the house, you can get to South Elmham Hall. There's an old ruined minster and a farm café. There are also three acres of trout lakes nearby if you're into fishing.

For a day out, Southwold and Aldeburgh on the coast are about half an hour's drive. The RSPB reserve at Minsmere is over that way too. Norwich is under 40 minutes if you want a city, castle, or a theatre.

Stuff that's here: the pool, wood burner, a washing machine, dishwasher, garden with a BBQ, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
